EXCITING TIMES!!!! You are about to reach or have reached the amount of required hours and can apply for your LPC licensure.

    • Log in to your DORA account and click on Apply for a New License. This application does not have to be completed in one sitting.

    • NCE verification results are needed to apply for LPC licensure. These results can be requested from the NCE website. If one has not taken the NCE, please start looking up test locations and dates. https://www.nbcc.org/exams/nce

    • Take the jurisprudence exam, which can be started and stopped over sixty days and is open-book. The test results are only valid for a year, so do not take it too far in advance.

    • To finish this application, update your Healthcare Professionals Profile

    • Licensure needs to be renewed every two years in odd years. To simplify, if you obtain licensure in an even year, you will be required to renew it the next year. The main difference is the CE requirements. Basically, the closer to the renewal date, the fewer CEs required.

    • You are allowed to renew your LPC license every four to six weeks before the expiration date. It is only a $70 fee to renew the licensure.*
